Many like-minded citizens cleaned railway platforms and areas surrounding the KSR city railway station as part of a clean-up drive and eco-awareness campaign on Wednesday.
Eco-Watch, South Western Railways and the Jain College had jointly organised the drive.
"The key objective of the campaign was to create awareness about waste, garbage disposal, the importance of maintaining cleanliness across the railway station," said Akshay Heblikar, Director (Projects) Eco-Watch.
Questionnaires were distributed to understand the awareness level of people about waste segregation and disposal methods.
Around 150 volunteers, members and staff from Jain College and Eco-Watch took part in the campaign.
