Mayor Gangambike Mallikarjun is planning to pave the roads near Kalasipalyam bus stand with white-topping.
During her inspection along with senior BBMP officials on Thursday, Gangambike was shocked to see the pathetic condition of roads, with piles of garbage dumped and she had to walk amidst the mess.
She ordered the officials concerned to remove the heap in four to five days. She also slapped a fine of Rs 10,000 on street vendors who had encroached upon the footpath.
The mayor also ordered the officials to undertake the renovation work of Kalasipalyam market, which includes renovating the roof, re-modelling the drains and construction of toilets in the vicinity.
