Class 10 student hangs herself

 A 15-year-old class 10 student was found hanging at her home in Cholurapalya near Magadi Road here on Friday night.

Arpita was found hanging from the ceiling fan in the hall when her mother, Kumari, who is a domestic maid, returned home from work.

No suicide note

Although no suicide note has been found, Kumari, in her statement to the police, said her daughter was suffering from a stomachache and was being treated for it for the past week, police sources said.

Kumar suspected that the stomachache might have driven Arpita to suicide. Arpita’s father had deserted the family three years ago.

Magadi Road police have registered a case.
