There was no one in the office as it was a holiday when the incident occurred. An electric short-circuit is said to have triggered the fire. A few persons noticed thick smoke inside the office and alerted the fire personnel. Two fire tenders rushed to the spot and doused the flames immediately.
Tanker gutted
In another incident, an empty gas tanker heading towards Tumkur was gutted as a high tension wire fell over it near Nelamangala check post on National Highway-4.
