Bengaluru: The Rajarajeshwari Nagar police arrested two men for a string of house burglaries in Bengaluru, recovering 537.94 grams of gold, 7.84 kg of silver, and a two-wheeler worth Rs 58.60 lakh.
Their arrest helped crack seven cases — six within the Rajarajeshwari Nagar limits and one in Vijayanagar.
The case began with a complaint on November 28, 2024, from a resident of BEML 5th Phase, who returned home to find his house burgled. The thieves had taken 55 grams of gold, 3.5 kg of silver, and Rs 5 lakh in cash.
Based on informants’ leads, the police picked up the suspects on June 12, 2025. During interrogation, they admitted to the burglaries and revealed the valuables were stashed at jewellery shops in Nagarathpet and a house in Tamil Nadu.
Between June 13 and June 21, the police seized the stolen goods, and the vehicle used in the crimes. The suspects were remanded to police custody for 16 days and later sent to judicial custody.
