Jayakumar Samuel (38) of Nagadevanahalli and Harish alias Steven (31) of Mysore were arrested in Chamrajpet on Thursday night.

Harish was working in ICICI bank couple of years ago. Police have also recovered 205 fake credit cards of various banks, 35 empty credit cards, five swiping machines, one lamination machine, one laptop and reader, four to five fake driving licences, some fake PAN cards, one stolen Skoda car and Rs 27,600 cash from them.

The duo had swindled money to the tune of Rs 50 lakh in a span of two years.
A Srilankan national identified as Shorty, the mastermind behind this international racket, was extradited from Canada for committing some offences.

“The accused used to collect these credit cards from Shorty through Suhail. Every vital detail about a particular bank account related to manufacturing of credit card was procured in Singapore by Shorty. As an ex-bank employee, Harish had also played a major role in collecting those details. They used to feed all the necessary information into a laptop and transfer the same to the blank credit cards using a reader,” police said.

Jayakumar is wanted by the Tamil Nadu CID  and Harish is wanted by the Hyderabad police. “We are yet to identify and nab Suhail,” the police said.
