Bengaluru: The Karnataka government has appointed D K Suresh, former MP and brother of Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar, as a member of the Greater Bengaluru Development Authority (GBDA).
The authority has been tasked with developing a 9,000-acre township in and around Bidadi and regulating growth across 92 sqkm.
Along with Suresh, the government has named Ananth Theertha, a Rajajinagar resident, as a GBDA member.
This is separate from the Greater Bengaluru Authority (GBA), the recently formed apex agency coordinating with smaller municipal corporations.
