Apparently dejected over his wife delivering a baby girl, an auto driver hanged himself at his house in Subramanyanagar.
Lakshman, married to Alamelu, was expecting a boy. When his third child also turned out to be a girl, he ended his life on Wednesday when no one was at home, police said.
Lakshman was also said to be facing financial problems. The suicide came to light on Friday when stench began emanating from the house. Neighbours alerted the police who found Lakshman dead.
