Earlier on Wednesday, the driver, peeved at the restriction, picked up an argument with the traffic police who tried to convince him to park the truck on the service road. According to the traffic police the driver did not cooperate, prompting them to fine him with four offences: HGV prohibition, parking on main road, no entry, and obstruction to traffic. The fine amounted to Rs 2,000.

Unwilling to pay the fine, the driver parked the 16-wheeler Nagaland-registered truck in the middle of the road and fled the scene, disrupting the traffic.

The traffic police reported that entire video footage of the incident was recorded on the officer's and crew's bodycams. A case has been registered at the Electronic City Police Station.
