Drug peddler detained

Ndukwe alias Martin En Duke (31), a resident of Iban Street, Logo City, was served with detention order under the provisions of the Karnataka Prevention of Dangerous Activities of Bootleggers, Drug Offenders, Gamblers, Goondas, Immoral Traffic Offenders and Slum Grabbers Act, 1985.

The police detained him from Central Prisons, Parappana Agrahara, based on orders from the Bangalore City Police Commissioner B G Jyothiprakash Mirji.

According to the police, Ndukwe came to Bangalore from Delhi, on a student visa producing fake papers. He was staying on 4th Main Road, Subbaiahnapalya, Banasawadi Main Road in the City.

He came in contact with another Nigerian Joe Pappajoe. He got into drug peddling in 2009 by selling cocaine in pubs, bars, restaurants, pizza outlets on M G Road, Brigade Road and other popular watering holes in the central areas. He was charging between
Rs 3,500 and 5,000 for a gram of cocaine.

The City police had booked him more than three times under the NDPS Act (Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances) and the Indian Foreigners Act.
