Those arrested are Rafi K, 33, of Vijayanagar; Praveen Kumar, 32, of Yelahanka; Abhishek, 33, and Govindaraju, 32, of Tumakuru; Govind Naik, 37, of Anekal; Doreraju, 33, of Ramanagar; Abid Wasim, 46, of BTM Layout; and Ahmed Zubair, 23, of Yeshwantpur.

The police recovered 47 fake Aadhaar cards, 112 documents, a fake stamp, a pen drive, and seven mobile phones from them.

The case surfaced after a complaint from the 4th ACJM Court, where fake land records were used as sureties for bail in a criminal case. The first FIR was registered in January.

Rafi was arrested on January 20. His information led to four more arrests. The police recovered 13 Aadhaar cards, a pen drive with soft copies of documents, and two mobile phones from them.

On July 4, sub-inspector Bhagavanthray Mashyal caught Zubair and Wasim near KG Road based on a tip-off. Their bags contained 13 fake Aadhaar cards and other documents. Based on their inputs, the police arrested another suspect.
