A graduate in industrial engineering, Vibha Harish worked in the aerospace sector before joining ‘Itsy Bitsy’, a craft store founded by her parents Harish and Rashmi Closepet.

Vibha is currently working on DIY projects and is experimenting with various craft projects. Her passion for DIY and craft are showcased on her Instagram and Youtube videos, starting from smaller pieces like a DIY terrairum to turning an old steel wardrobe into an art piece.

“I have grown up with art and craft all around me. Since the time I have understood the concept of DIY, I have fallen in love with it. The fact that a lot of things we use or buy can be made at home without burning a hole in our pockets interested me,”says Vibha.

Vibha says that she loves upcycling things. She has also shot a video on how to upcycle an old sari to make coasters and decorate a lamp shade.

“I am currently working on how a solopreneur can make quick and personalised business cards. It was a lot of fun to do some office and studio DIY where I had created a magnetic daily planner, a mouse pad and a chalk planter for my office desk. I have upcycled old almirahs, drawers and doors with stencilling and decoupage techniques,”she adds.

Though she uses a plethora of raw materials, the most unique element is the personalised touch.

She mainly works on furniture and home decor pieces that are old or worn out.

Vibha also conducts de-stress workshops in various IT firms and MNCs to show that crafts could help professionals to deal with stress.
