Bengaluru: The Air Force Technical College, Jalahalli, conducted a ceremonial passing-out parade of the 105th Aeronautical Engineering Course on Saturday.
Seventy-one engineering officers, including 13 from friendly foreign countries, graduated from the college following the completion of 62 weeks of rigorous training, according to a press release.
The parade was marked by a flypast by Dorniers and Mi-17 helicopters. The Air Warrior Drill Team and IAF Band also showcased their skills during the parade, the release said.
The chief guest was Air Marshal Vijay Kumar Garg, Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Maintenance Command, IAF. He also inspected the parade as Reviewing Officer (RO) and awarded trophies and medallions to the officers.
The Sword of Honour for first in the order of merit was awarded to Flying Officer Sanapala Madhu. The President’s Plaque for the best officer in professional subjects and General Service Training was awarded to Flying Officer Nisarg Sharad Surve. The Chief of Air Staff Medals for first in the order of merit in Electronics and Mechanical streams were awarded to Flying Officer Kunal Phaghal and Flying Officer Bhanupriya Sharma, respectively.
Air Commodore Ashutosh Shrivastava, Commandant of the college, was among those present on the occasion, the release said.
