Veteran actress Madhuri Dixit, who is playing the lead role in debutant director Soumik Sen’s Gulaab Gang, will be seen doing some serious action for a sequence in the film.
The movie is partly inspired by social activist Sampat Pal and the work she and her Gulabi Gang do for women’s welfare. “Had great fun shooting action sequence for Gulaab Gang yesterday. Tiring, but completely challenging and exciting (sic),” Madhuri posted on a microblogging site. She even mentioned that it is currently the most exciting activity for her. “What is the most interesting thing in your life that you are doing or planning to do? For me, right now it’s this action scene,” says the post. Before this action sequence, the actress was just as excited about lending a voice with her mother for a song in the film.
The actress is also working on Dedh Ishqiya, a sequel to 2010’s critically acclaimed Vidya Balan-starrer, Ishqiya.
