According to the organisers, the 5th International Children's Film Festival was a success as a result of which this year's festival has received 60 entries from 18 countries. Eight delegates from the neighbouring countries, China and Sri Lanka are attending the festival.
Kannada star Upendra is the brand ambassador and the programmes will commence from January 8 at the Movie land Theatre, Bal Bhavan and Navarang Theatre in the City and also at prominent theatres in Mandya, Mysore, Hubli and Belgaum.
A special feature of this festival will be a separate section of films on environment at the Bal Bhavan from January 9 to January 13 at 12 noon every day. Experts on environment from different parts of the country will participate in the seminar on January 11. The country focus in this festival is China. From January 8 to 13, Chinese films will be screened at Movie land Theatre. Apart from this, an animation workshop will be held at Yavanika, Nrupatunga Road on January 8 and 9.
