Bengaluru: The Vidyaranyapura police have registered an FIR after goons allegedly vandalised a private school in northern Bengaluru, police officials said on Friday.

The case was opened on May 29 followed a complaint from Chikkalingesh, the manager of Sharada Vidyaniketan Public School in Vidyaranyapura. 

The FIR names Dhananjaya G, the owner of National Public School (NPS), Vidyaranyapura; chairman Gangadariah G; director Radha Dhanajaya; and manager Nandish. 

According to the FIR, on May 29, between 5 pm and 5.30 pm, 70 goons allegedly trespassed on the Shree Sharada Vidyanikethan Public School premises, damaged the CCTV cameras and burnt the DVRs. They also allegedly assaulted the staff and took away their mobile phones and gold rings. 

The FIR noted that around 20 laywers threatened to lodge drugs cases. It was further alleged that the main door was broken in and the goons displayed weapons, damaged computers, and stole documents and Rs 1.75 lakh in cash, and created a dangerous atmosphere.

A probe has been initiated by the police, officials said.
