A massive fire broke out at the Reliance Jio Infotech tower site in Madanayakanahalli near the panchayat office on Wednesday, which firefighters took hours to douse.
No casualty has been reported as a result of the fire that gutted the panel boards, and reinforced plastic — to be laid underground — and scrap items dumped at the site. Thick smoke enveloped the area since most of the items were plastic.
Firemen have collected samples from the site to ascertain the cause of the blaze that remains unclear. The blaze had been put out nearly two hours after it began.
A fire official said the damages caused by the flames are yet to be determined.
