It was a great disappointment to Sharon Shajan (18), the first time voter as she couldn't find her name in the voter's list at Bangalore Central constituency on Thursday.

Sharon, who is currently pursuing her MBBS in Mangalore, made all efforts to reach Bengaluru to vote in the ongoing Lok Sabha elections, two days ago. But the teenager who couldn't find her name in the list had to go back home in disappointment.

"We were following up with the BBMP officials since March. I was told my name is added in the list and that's why I came to Bangalore. Otherwise, I wouldn't have come," said Sharon who came to United Theological College booth in Shivajinagar.

Another woman, Farah Khan (41) who never voted so far was in full hope to do it today. But she was as well disappointed for not having found her name in the list.

"I had applied for voter ID two years ago along with my parents. My parents received their cards but I didn't. I thought I'll at least see my name in the list here, but couldn't find it." She had to nothing but return home, still never having voted at all.
