Bengaluru: The Kalasipalyam police arrested five people who threatened a man with weapons and robbed him, officials said on Thursday.

The arrested are Umar Ahmad, 25; Shahzad Pasha, 23; Mohammed Moeez, 25; Yasin Ahmed, 19; and Shohaib Pasha, 20. They hail from different parts of the city, the police said.

According to the police, the five suspects forcibly entered the victim’s room on Siddaiah Road, threatened him, and fled with Rs 15 lakh cash and two mobile phones. The incident occurred on November 19.

Following the arrest, the police recovered Rs 11.30 lakh cash, seven mobile phones, one car, and a motorcycle. The suspects were booked under sections related to robbery and carrying arms. Further probe has been initiated.
