Bangalore Flying Club Private Limited has approached the High Court of Karnataka seeking directions to the state government to execute the lease agreement for pursuing aviation-related activities.

The petitioner had sought allotment of land measuring 40x50 metres along the northern side of Jakkur aerodrome. The government had approved the request for allotment of the land on lease for pursuing aviation-related activities and had intimated the petitioner to make payment.

Following this, the petitioner made a payment of Rs 18 lakh through a cheque. The government, however,  has not realised the cheque and has not executed the lease agreement.  Though a representation was made in December 2016, there has been no response from the government, the petitioner said.

The petitioner has sought directions to approve the draft lease agreement and execute it.
Justice A S Bopanna heard the matter and directed the government to present their view in the next hearing.
