Mysuru: Four people of a family from J P Nagar, Bengaluru, were killed in a road mishap, on the Mysuru-Bengaluru expressway in a collision between a car and an Airavat bus near Tubinakere, Mandya taluk, on Thursday afternoon.

The deceased have been identified as Satyanandaraje Urs (51), his wife Nischitha (45), Chandru (62), and Sumedini Rani (50).

It is said that they were on their way to Periyapatna, in Mysuru district, to attend a family event when the mishap occurred.

It is said that the driver of the car had slowed down near the Tubinakere exit when the speeding Airavat bus rammed into the car from behind.

Four people were killed on the spot, due to the impact of the collision. Mandya Rural police have registered a case.
