The plant is expected to process 500 tonnes of garbage every day and the energy generated here will be sold to the Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation Limited.

The study is expected to conclude by the year-end.

Alexandre Ziegler, the French ambassador to India, met Mayor R Sampath Raj, Sarfaraz Khan, joint commissioner, health and solid waste management, and Mahendra Jain, additional chief secretary of the urban development department, on Wednesday.
