Murugesh P, 55, had been absconding in three cases registered at the Yelahanka Suburban police station.

A special team, formed under the guidance of DCP (North East Division) VJ Sajeeth, tracked him down based on his long pending register (LPR), which lists unresolved court cases.

Murugesh, who worked in Kolar Gold Fields (KGF), had cases pending for over 15 years across Bengaluru, Mysuru, Kodagu, KGF, Kolar, and Tamil Nadu.

His continued absence from court led the police to declare him a fugitive. He faces charges under IPC sections 457 (lurking house-trespass by night) and 380 (theft in a building).
