Standup comedians Biswa Kalyan Rath and Kunal Kamra will perform on July 9, 5 pm and 8 pm, and on July 10, 4 pm and 7 pm, at That Comedy Club, Church Street.
City-based comedian Rupen Paul will host the show. Biswa Kalyan Rath is known for the ‘YouTube’ series ‘Pretentious Movie Reviews’, where he reviews yesteryear Bollywood films along with fellow standup comedian Kanan Gill.
Biswa worked in graphic design, advertising and software before switching to standup comedy. Interspersed with Hindi, Biswa’s brand of humour ranges from witty to sarcastic. He usually talks about incidents from his childhood, experiences at IIT and his entry into the world of standup comedy.
Kunal Kamra was also into a regular advertising job. He decided to venture into standup comedy to beat the monotony of his job. His style of humour and dark personality has garnered a number of fans.
