A warehouse of plastic items in western Bengaluru was gutted in a major fire on Sunday night.

Firefighters believe there was no loss of life or limb as the warehouse was locked from the outside.

The fire and emergency services control room received an alert around 8.45 pm and immediately dispatched eight fire tenders to the warehouse located near the Pantharapalya bus stop in Nayandahalli.

The inflammable nature of plastic galvanised the fire quickly and firefighters were still trying to control the flames at the time of going to the press. Firefighters suspect a short circuit caused the fire. But they would collect samples from the spot to determine the exact cause of the fire.
