Touching a live wire while hanging her washed clothes, a woman, Lavanya (26), was electrocuted on Friday night.

Her husband Veeranna (31), who rushed to free her, also died of electrocution.

The police said the couple hailed from Tamil Nadu and came to the city a few years ago. They lived in ITI Colony in Bandepalaya. They baked and prepared snacks, which they distributed to bakeries and local shops. They are survived by a son and a daughter.
