The High Court of Karnataka disposed of a petition filed by Ramakrishna Ashram in Mysuru
by quashing the order of the Commissioner of Public Instruction.

The Mysuru DDPI  had directed Maharani New Type Model (NTM) Primary School to continue functioning at their premises while cancelling the allotment of land to the Ashram to start the Vivekananda Cultural Youth Centre to mark the 150th birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda.

The state government had granted necessary permission to acquire the property and to shift NTM school to the nearby Devaraja government school.

Ramakrishna Ashram had moved the court challenging the order of the Commissioner of Public Instruction. Justice S Sujatha quashed the order and disposed of the matter.
