Residents immediately alerted the police, who rushed to the spot and tried to convince him to come down. But as Parvez continued to scale the building, police had to call fire and emergency officials, who managed him to bring him down around 10.40 am after a 2-hour operation. Later, he was taken to a hospital.

Cottonpet police said Parvez threatened to jump if any person wearing khaki uniform approached him. But an officer belonging to fire and emergency services managed to hoodwink Parvez and bring him down. He looked very weak as he did not have any food for the past two days, the police said.
