A homemaker allegedly committed suicide at her house in Nagarbhavi on Sunday. Saroja, 36, was married to Vikhyath, an electrical contactor, for 17 years.
According to police, Vikhyath had a verbal duel with his wife on Sunday afternoon as she had not prepared the lunch.
He went to his friend’s house and returned home around 12 midnight.
There was no response from inside when he knocked the door.
He went back to his friend’s house and returned on Monday morning.
Since his wife did not open the door after repeated knocks, Vikhyat broke open the door only to see his wife hanging from the ceiling.
The couple has a son and a daughter, studying at Sringeri, police said.
