Hotel worker arrested in jeweller kidnap case

 The HAL police arrested a hotel worker in Kolar, in connection with the abduction of a 35-year-old jeweller Ramdayal, the owner of Suguna Jewellers in Doddanekkundi, recently. The suspect was identified as Mahesh, a native of Mandya.

The police acted on definite tips and arrested him from the hotel on Monday. With Mahesh’s arrest, the number of arrests in connection with the case went upto two, while two other suspects in the case - Nayaz and Musharaff - are still at large and the police are searching for them.

The foursome abducted Ramdayal from near Avalahalli bridge on the intervening night of June 12 and 13. The police sung into action and arrested one of the four kidnappers, Madhu, a resident of Kolar. They decided to abduct him for money and had demanded Rs 10 lakh ransom from his family members.
