The government has roped in 18 private hospitals in Bengaluru to administer Covid-19 vaccines in the second phase.
Hospitals expect those walking in to have registered on the government’s website or app, but some are willing to help those who aren’t Net-savvy to register at the hospital.
On Tuesday, a day after the phase was launched, Metrolife called up hospitals on the government’s list to ask about their operations.

“We are having issues with the registration portal. It’s best to avoid coming this week. We’ll have a more organised system by next week.”
Shushrusha Hospital, Yelahanka
“Sorry, shots have not arrived. We’re waiting to receive more information from the BBMP.”

“We haven’t started administering vaccines yet.”
Raghavendra People Tree Hospital, T Dasarahalli
“The vaccine is being administered only at our Goraguntepalya branch.”
Sagar Hospital, Kumaraswamy Layout
“We are carrying out 200 vaccinations a day. If you have trouble with the registration process, come to the hospital between 9 am and 5 pm and register directly.”

Hospitals Metrolife called said they collect Rs 250 to administer the vaccine. They are not charging anything extra.
