This, despite the Department of Public Instruction (DPI) warning of strict action, if the unpermitted sections were reopened. A minor girl had been raped by a staff member on the premises of the school recently.
With this, the school has resumed full functioning, including the permitted sections (class 1 to 5) as well as those which had no permission (pre-primary along with classes six and seven).
The pre-primary section had resumed functioning last week. A few days after the sexual assault, the DDPI had given permission to run the permitted sections.
At a meeting earlier, Kimmane Ratnakar, Minister of State for Primary and Secondary Education, had said that it would be hard to let the school run.
