To evoke patriotism and pride among fliers, the operators of the Kempegowda International Airport on Friday launched the Celebrate India Campaign, a 10-day carnival to commemorate India's 72nd Independence Day.

Over the next 10 days, the airport will showcase the best of India's rich culture, heritage, art, literature and food before the curtains come down on August 19.

Lined up for travellers are a variety of activities. These include patriotic selfie opportunities with the tricolour and India map as the background, distribution of tricolour wrist bands and flag pins. The culture and heritage of the country will be displayed through a Celebrate India Museum highlighting the art and heritage in an artistic format.

Giving a distinct look to the airport, the Airport Authority of India's Air Traffic Control (ATC) tower will be lit up in tricolours while select outlets in the terminal have been decorated with colourful props.
