Bengaluru: The Indian Army will organise a 'Know Your Army' mela on Saturday at the Manekshaw Parade Ground, Cubbon Road, from 8 am to 4 pm.

The event is open to the public with free entry, providing a unique opportunity to engage with and learn about the lives of the soldiers who safeguard the nation.

Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot has been invited as the chief guest for the event.

Visitors will be able to view a variety of Army equipment up close and enjoy thrilling displays, including paramotor gliding, tanks, daredevil motorcycle stunts, drone demonstrations, combat bridge-laying, and simulators for Army vehicles. Cultural programmes by Army soldiers, along with performances by Army dogs and horses, are also planned.

The mela will feature informative and interactive stalls offering medical assistance, details on recruitment opportunities, an Army placement cell, a veterans' help desk, and food stalls.

The Karnataka and Kerala Sub Area, known for its role in operations during the Wayanad landslide, will showcase the Army’s capabilities, highlighting their disaster response expertise.
