The manifesto has also asked for the closure of all pubs and bars violating excise, zonal and fire safety regulations within six months of issuing the order.

Residents have asked for their inclusion in ward committees formed by the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP).

Installing rainwater harvesting units in all households, self-regulation of the solid waste management system and including at least three fully functional dry waste collection centres in each ward are also listed in the manifesto.

Residents drew up the charter with inputs from former Lokayukta Justice (retd) Santosh Hegde and urban expert V Ravichander.

They would meet Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) candidates Mohan Dasari (CV Raman Nagar) and Renuka Vishwanathan (Shanthinagar) on Saturday, besides candidates of other parties.

While Mayor R Sampath Raj is contesting from the CV Raman Nagar constituency on a Congress ticket, S Ramesh is likely to be fielded on behalf of the BJP.
