The attacks occurred near 100 Feet Road between 9.30 pm and 10 pm on Saturday.

Kadamba, who has prior offences, stabbed Jashwanth P, 19, Mahesh Sitapati S, 23, Deepak Kumar Varma, 24, and Tammaiah, 44. Later, around 2.30 am on Sunday, he also attacked motorist Adil, 24, and fled with his scooter.

A senior police officer said that Kadamba was last seen near Hoskote and is suspected to be hiding in the area. However, the officer declined to provide further details, citing the ongoing investigation.

Police assure swift arrest

Bengaluru Police Commissioner B Dayananda assured that efforts are underway to arrest the suspect.

“The suspect will be arrested as soon as possible,” he said during a weekly press briefing on Tuesday. “The DCP East is overseeing the investigation and tracking operations.”

Deputy Commissioner of Police (East) D Devaraj stated on Monday that Kadamba had fled to Hoskote, on Bengaluru’s outskirts.

"Hoysala patrolmen from Indiranagar spotted the suspect on the stolen scooter and began chasing him after he matched the description. However, he managed to evade capture near KR Puram in the dead of night,” Devaraj told the media.

"On Sunday, CCTV footage confirmed that the suspect had been in Hoskote, where he approached a medical store and asked for money to buy food. The footage also showed the stolen vehicle,” he added.

Police teams continue to track Kadamba, and further updates are expected as the search progresses.
