Bengaluru: On the occasion of International Museum Day, the National Gallery of Modern Art is hosting a workshop on Chittara for persons with disabilities and the general public on May 30 at 11.30 am, at the gallery premises near Palace Road.
Chittara, traditionally created by the women of Malnad on their red mud-coated houses and on the ground as rangoli, is part of a larger context of creativity and celebration in the region's cultural milieu.
