The first day saw an array of activities such as quiz, collage, business intelligence and product launch taking place. Wealth out of waste, had students making something useful out of waste material. “I think it is a very interesting way of making students aware of environmental friendly practices,” said Nazifa Suroor, a first year science student.

Another favourite among the students was the Laughter Challenge which saw them displaying their funny side for everyone’s entertainment. Students of St Joseph’s and Christ College also took part in the event. “I took part in three events,” said Syed Zeafulle, a BCom student. An interesting event was the best manager, Baazigar where students were interviewed for a job by faculty members.

The second day started with a debate on whether sport in India should be politicised and had a lot of youngsters participating, who believed that arts and sports should be kept out of the political loop.

In Quiztion Time, students were asked to go through research papers and come up with questions. “I think this way we can make studies even more interesting. Asking the right questions is an important part of learning,” said Shaheen Taj, the chemistry faculty. In crossword section the faculty added a little twist to the age old crossword puzzle and the students were kept busy solving equations to fill in the white gaps. Time management, Waqt...Race against time, had students competing to perform tasks in the smallest time possible.

The Mad-Ads had teams from Seshadripuram College and Al-Ameen College of Management participating and the kids were busy coming up with goofy acts to win the top prize.

The festival came to an end with the street play. It was a three-part presentation in Hindi, Kannada and English and had the students performing on social issues.

Salma Sultana, a BSc student, who wrote the script for one of the plays said, “A lot of students commit suicides because of low grades or attendance. This play shows how people can overcome problems and move on in life.”
