Bengaluru: Namma Metro will run services as usual on May 13 and 17, cancelling the extended operations initially planned for the IPL matches scheduled in Bengaluru on those days.
This follows the postponement of the IPL matches by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) amid rising India-Pakistan border tensions. The BCCI has temporarily suspended matches for a week and is currently working on a revised schedule, pending government approval.
In view of this, the Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL), which typically extends metro services until 1.30 am on match days in Bengaluru, will not do so on May 13 and 17. Metro services will operate as per the regular schedule on both the Purple and Green lines.
