Team DRONE of Sri Bhagawan Mahaveer Jain College, Bangalore, won the first place in SAE Aero Design (West) 2010 competition at Van Nuys, California, USA.

Eight students from Sri Bhagawan Mahaveer Jain College of Engineering here created history by becoming the only Indian team to win the first place in design (Oral presentation) and third place (Micro class) in flying at this year's SAE Aero Design (West) 2010 competition held at Van Nuys, California, USA.

The team DRONE consisted of Chandan Prasad, Darshan N R, Anurag Hoshi, Shreyas Reddy, Nikhil Pandey, Shreyas D S, Ravi Theja, George Matthew and faculties Dr Krishna Venkatesh, Santhosh M S, Nithin T P, Krishna Kishore, Naveen T N and Prajwal S.

SAE Aero design Series is an international event held by a professional body - Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) in association with NASA and Lockheed Martin.
