Bengaluru: In a step towards inclusive employment, AssisTech Foundation (ATF) organised 'Adidvara-Job Habba' in the city on Monday.
The employment fair aimed to bridge the gap between training and livelihood opportunities for Persons with Disabilities (PWDs).
Over 250 PWDs participated in the event, ranging from Class 10 pass-outs to graduates, including those without formal education. They attended one-on-one speed interviews and live demonstrations of assistive technologies designed to improve workplace accessibility and efficiency, the organisers said.
Companies such as Infosys BPM, BigBasket, Tech Mahindra, Dr Reddy’s, Dell and Lemon Tree Hotels offered jobs in hospitality, e-commerce, data entry and customer service. The opportunities included apprenticeships, internships and full-time positions.
At the event, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between ATF and Karnataka's Department for the Empowerment of Differently Abled and Senior Citizens to expand the programme's reach and secure funding. WinVinaya Foundation also joined as an on-ground execution partner, the organisers added.
