Bengaluru: A Bengaluru court has convicted Kannada film producer and distributor MN Kumar under the Negotiable Instruments Act.

The Fourth Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate pronounced the conviction, following which the Upparpet police served a warrant and arrested Kumar.

The police said Kumar’s office is located in Gandhinagar, which falls under the Upparpet police station jurisdiction. As a result, he was arrested by the Upparpet police and sent to the Parappana Agrahara Central Prison in southeast Bengaluru.

Kumar has distributed over 50 Kannada films and produced more than five films, including blockbuster hits like Maanikya and Ranga SSLC.
