Bengaluru: In a swift move, the Karnataka government on Monday transferred 35 IPS officers, while also replacing the heads of the Bengaluru crime branch and the traffic police.
Ajay Hilori, Deputy Inspector General of Police, North Eastern Range, Kalaburgi, has been transferred with immediate effect and posted until further orders as Deputy Inspector General of Police and Joint Commissioner of Police, Crimes, Bengaluru, which is essentially as the chief of the city police’s Central Crime Branch (CCB).
Chandragupta, the incumbent crime branch head, has been posted as Inspector General of Police, North Eastern Range, Kalaburgi.
The government also transferred M N Anucheth, Joint Commissioner of Police, Traffic, Bengaluru, and posted him as Deputy Inspector General of Police, Recruitment. Karthik Reddy has been appointed as the Joint Commissioner of Police, Traffic, Bengaluru.
The government also made the appointments of Deputy Commissioners of Police (DCP) for the three newly created divisions with the Bengaluru police: Narayana M as DCP Electronics City, Anita Bhimappa Haddannavar as DCP South West, and Nagesh D L as DCP North West.
Iada Martin Marbaniang, who was awaiting a posting, was transferred as Deputy Inspector General of Police (Administration), Police Headquarters, Bengaluru, in the downgraded vacant post.
The government also transferred Dr Anoop A Shetty, Superintendent of Police (SP), Criminal Investigation Department (Cyber Crime) and posted him as Deputy Commissioner of Police, Traffic, West Division, Bengaluru city.
Hakay Akshay Machhindra, IPS (KN 2015) DCP, City Crime Branch-1 (Bengaluru) has been transferred with immediate effect and posted until further orders as Deputy Commissioner of Police, Central Division, Bengaluru. Srihari Babu BL, SP, Vijayanagar, is posted as DCP, Crime-1, Bengaluru city.
The others transferred are Vartika Katiyar as DIGP (Ballary Range), K M Shantharaju as Superintendent of Police (Intelligence), DR Siri Gowri as SP (State Crime Records Bureau (SCRB)), K Parashurama as DCP (Whitefield, Bengaluru), Suman D Pennekar as DCP (Intelligence), Shiva Prakash Devaraju as SP (Karnataka Lokayukta), Jayaprakash as DCP (Traffic, Bengaluru North), Simi Mariam George as DCP (Traffic, Bengaluru South), Yatish N as SP (Railways), Saidulu Adavath as SP (CID), Shivakumar Gunare as Additional Inspector General of Police (Police Headquarters, Bengaluru), Amarnath Reddy Y as Commandant, 1st Battalion (Karnataka State Reserve Police, Bengaluru), Yashodha Vantagodi as SP (Haveri), SK Soumyalatha as DCP (City Armed Reserve HQ), Anshu Kumar as SP (Prisons), Gunjan Arya as SP (Dharwad), Babasab Nemagoud as DCP (Bengaluru North), Gopal M Byakod as Joint Director (Forensic Science Laboratory, Bengaluru), Sidharth Goyal as SP (Bagalkote), Rohan Jagadeesh as SP (Gadag), Shivanshu Rajput as SP (KGF), Jitendra Kumar Dayama as DCP (Law and Order, Mangaluru City), Deepan MN as SP (Uttara Kannada) and Jahnavi S as SP (Vijayanagar).
