Ashoka instructed police officials drafted for the court security to keep a hawk's eye vigil in the premises in the aftermath of the blast outside the Delhi High Court yesterday, killing 12 and injuring 76 persons.

The Minister, who along with Chief Justice Khehar inspected various places in and around the court, directed security personnel that barring the vehicles of Judges, no other vehicle should be allowed near the court premises.

Meanwhile, vigilance was scaled up at the court, with the police subjecting all those entering the court to checks at all the entry points.

Chief Minister D V Sadananda Gowda later told reporters that security measaures have been tightened in the city and senior officials posted at all sensitive locations.

Home Minister Ashoka has already reviewed the situation at a meeting with top police officials, he said.
