Bengaluru: The representatives of the Nadaprabhu Kempegowda Layout (NPKL) Open Forum, who met Bengaluru North MP Shobha Karandlaje on Saturday, requested her to urge the Bangalore Development Authority (BDA) to develop an economic zone in the Nadaprabhu Kempegowda Layout.
In a letter submitted to Shobha, the site allottees flagged two main concerns—access to Mysore Road and the establishment of an economic zone.
They opined that the construction of ramps to join and exit Mysore Road via the Major Arterial Road would help lakhs of people commuting in that direction. Hence, they requested that the MP discuss the issue with the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI).
Additionally, they pointed out that the BDA was acquiring another 5,000 acres of land to extend the Kempegowda Layout and that the authority should set up an economic zone in that area. This, they said, would help bring in more job opportunities.
