Bengaluru: Kristu Jayanti College, in association with Bengaluru North University (BNU), conducted the All India Inter University Pencak Silat Championship for Men and Women 2024–25 on its campus from April 14 to 16, according to a release. 

The tournament, conducted under the aegis of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU), attracted over 750 athletes from 68 universities. It featured matches in various weight categories, conducted on a knockout-cum basis, and overseen by certified referees and jury members from the Karnataka State Pencak Silat Association.

The inaugural ceremony was attended by BNU Vice Chancellor Niranjana Vanalli, Registrar C N Sridhar, Finance Officer Vasanth Kumar B V, college principal Augustine George and vice principal Lijo P Thomas. 

Approximately 1,000 participants, including athletes, coaches, managers and officials, attended the three-day event. 

During the valedictory ceremony on April 16, team trophies and individual medals were awarded to champions, runners-up and third-place finishers.
