On September 2, Dr L Subramaniam had lodged a complaint with the locality police stating that some valuables and foreign currencies were found missing from his 6th Cross, RMV II Stage residence over a period of time.
According to the police, initially, around 5,000 Euros had gone missing, followed by Rs 55,000 and a gold chain etc. In this connection, Bhagya (30), a maid servant and resident of Heganahalli, Rajagopalnagar was being questioned.
In the meantime, Bhagya reportedly took shelter with an outfit that supposedly represents minorities. On Monday, the outfit, in a complaint to the same police station said that Bhagya was being exploited by Subramaniam. It added that Bhagya was pestered by Subramaniam whenever his wife, noted play back singer Kavitha Krishnamurthy was not in town.
Subramaniam is residing in a duplex house. Bhagya was the only maid who was in charge of the first floor. She is being questioned, said a senior officer. However, Bhagya is yet to be subjected to medical examination and further investigation is on.
