Bengaluru: A labourer died while allegedly cleaning a sewage pit in north Bengaluru, the police said.
The deceased, Puttaswamy (31), had been hired along with another worker to clean the clogged pit. The police said that Puttaswamy died due to asphyxiation and inhalation of toxic fumes.
Both men collapsed inside the pit and were rushed to hospital, where Puttaswamy died. The RMC Yard police have registered an FIR and launched a probe.
