The action follows a viral video circulating on Instagram and X, which showed the luxury supercar weaving through traffic at high speeds, endangering other commuters. Taking suo motu cognisance of the digital evidence, the Kengeri traffic police initiated a probe into the incident.

Anoop A Shetty, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic, West), confirmed that the driver has been booked under Section 281 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) for rash driving or riding on a public way.

"We have registered an FIR based on the viral footage. The vehicle was being driven in a manner that posed a significant threat to public safety," the DCP stated, adding that teams are currently tracing the driver’s identity and the vehicle’s registration details.

Police have reiterated that high-end vehicle owners are not exempt from traffic discipline and that social media monitoring has been intensified to curb such "stunt-driving" tendencies.
