The actor, who is best known for his roles in Dus and Main Hoon Naa, says he is learning to improve his comic timing from funnyman Cyrus Broacha. Zayed is also set to make his debut as a producer with self-starrer rom-com Love Break Up Zindagi, where he shares screen space with Dia Mirza and Broacha. The 30-year-old made his foray in the Hindi film industry with box office disaster Churaliya Hai Tumne alongside Esha Deol but has so far stayed away from Bollywood comedies, which he wants to change now.

“I have done a little bit of comedy but I think I am still in the process of learning the right timing. I have signed a film called Sharafat Gaye Tel Lene which is a total comedy. The audience will see me in a new avatar. I am also watching Cyrus closely and learning a lot from him,” said

Zayed. The actor says the idea of  Love Breakup Zindagi came to Dia, his partner in their newly launched Bornfree Entertainment.

“Dia convinced us for this project. We wanted a solid mix of everything in our first film. As the name suggests, the movie is about relationships in today’s world... You can call it as a 'slice of life'. It depicts how different people take their problems differently against the
backdrop of daily hustle-bustle,” said Zayed.

The actor plays the role of Jai, who is a sale executive from Delhi. He suffers from mid-life crisis and hates everything about Mumbai, where he is posted for his job. “Getting into production was evident for me and I knew I would land up here someday. However, it was not easy as it’s difficult to find like-minded partners,” added Zayed.

Besides, Love.... and Sharafat..., Zayed will also be seen in Priyadarshan’s upcoming film Tez, alongside Ajay Devgan, Anil Kapoor, Kangana Ranaut and Sameera Reddy.
